Some nannies will see you and your family as a project and will want to organize – or re-organize your home, your things and certainly your children’s things. While many families welcome this help, others feel intruded upon.

Some nannies are looking for an easy job where all they have to do is take the (easy) child to the park and make snacks. Others are prepared for kids with colic, tempers, diaper changes and dirty dishes as well as meals that need to be cooked.

Other nannies need a place to live, and are looking for a live in job in order to forgo rent and utilities. Some of them live with large families in small houses so that living in your house, even in a small bedroom, will afford them privacy that they may not have in their own homes. Some nannies that are not in America legally need a mailing address, and being a live-in at your home will afford them that.
